About the trip

WHAT IS IYF? IYF is the International Youth Forum, a Community of Christ international event, that has taken place every 3-4 years since 1993. It brings together Community of Christ youth (15-18 year olds) from all over the world in Independence, Missouri. In 2027 or 2028, there will also be IYF events in Africa and South America to support accessibility and encourage greater global attendance. Meeting in the temple and auditorium, IYF is a three day event including worship, cultural sharing, small group learning and friendship forming, that celebrates cultural diversity and offers an unforgettable global community experience.

WHAT IS SPEC? SPEC, or Spectacular, is the annual sports and arts camp held at Graceland University (the Community of Christ sponsored university in Lamoni, Iowa). Over the course of a full week, youth participate in worship, team and individual sports, creative arts and leadership classes, cultural sharing and more. SPEC is an inclusive camping experience where individuals are celebrated for their uniqueness, and a loving God is intentionally recognised and explored in everyday situations.

DISNEYLAND We may stop over on our return trip for a full day at Disneyland, Los Angeles.

Trip Dates

Wednesday 21st July 2027

Age eligibility

Campers aged 15-18 

(youngest- must turn 15 sometime in 2027, oldest- must have completed Year 12 in 2026)

Cost

Approximately $3000 per camper 

(this includes a Mission Centre subsidy and other anticipated fundraising endeavours, reducing the actual cost of $5500 per person)

This registration confirms your place in the Aussie delegation, along with the $500 deposit, which can be refunded until the time flights are booked (anticipated in late October '26). We will alert people one week prior to booking, providing the opportunity to pull out if needed.
