Priesthood & Member Ministry Plans
Purpose: Template Ministry Plan forms are available for each priesthood office.
These forms can be used collaboratively to:
Discern how a person feels called to serve in the coming year.
Identify ministries, growth goals, and spiritual practices.
Useful tool to support meaningful conversation.
This is not an assessment or grading tool for their ministry; it is primarily for encouragement and clarity.
Process: Process would typically begin with Pastors meeting one-on-one with each priesthood member.
Forms may be shared beforehand but completed together, or separately by the priesthood member.
Plans are kept locally for future review (how calls evolve, opportunities missed).
Language can be adapted for small groups or emerging communities.
Inactive Priesthood
Ministry plans can gently reconnect inactive priesthood.
Opens a conversation about capacity, interest, or being released from Priesthood.
Options: Inactive or Emeritus (keeps title, no responsibilities; Working with Children’s Check still required for child-related ministry).
The Australian Mission Centre President can be available to assist with complex cases.
