Thank You Kristie Woodward!

Dear members and friends,

Today I share the news that Kristie Woodward has resigned from her position as Community Plus Coordinator, with her last official being the Young Adult Retreat ending on 20 July.

Kristie has been a wonderful minister to the young people of Australia, and has led with integrity during her 3 years with the Mission Centre. From coordinating the annual C-Plus Camps and Pilgrimage trip to the USA in 2024, she has demonstrated exceptional event management skills. Her pastoral care and intelligence have added depth to the weekly Sunday Night Gatherings, her skills as an educator have lifted the programs for youth at Kallara Family Camp and Tiona Reunion, and her heart for social justice led to two urban young adult events focused on community service. Underpinning all her work has been a deep sense of love for young people, and the desire to foster their self-worth, their relationships with each other, and building sacred community with a spiritual centre.

I give my heartfelt thanks to Kristie, for the impact she made in her time in this role, and the impact she continues to make in her voluntary work as part of the Transformation process and LEAD Program.

I wish her all the joy and fulfillment as she refocuses her energy on her singing teaching business, her students are incredibly lucky to have her!

We remain committed to funding a position at Mission Centre focused on Youth and Young Adult Ministry, and will begin recruiting as soon as possible.

The major C-Plus activities will be supported for the remainder of the year, shared between staff and volunteers. Kass Unger will be the point of contact for C-Plus during the transition.
