Preserving Your History: Tips and Tricks for Both Tangible and Intellectual Retention of Congregational Records with Rachel Killebrew

Gather for a rich evening of “hands on history” with Community of Christ Librarian and Archivist, Rachel Killebrew. Rachel will discuss the important role of the volunteer historian serving at Community of Christ congregations and mission centers throughout the world. She will share her personal experience with preserving Community of Christ’s expansive archival collection and share a few tips on how you can best preserve your own congregation and mission centre’s historic records. Preserving the Past: Inside the British Isles Mission Center Archives with Karen Norton

Join Karen Norton as she shares her experience preserving the historic items located inside the British Isles Mission Center archives. Learn how she manages the material, accessions new pieces to the growing collection, and uses the historic material throughout her mission center. This evening program will also feature Andrew Huse sharing his work in preserving and digitizing congregational history in El Cajon, California.
