Dear Friends,
Ours is a community shaped and sustained by volunteers.
In countless ways seen and unseen, you give your time, your care and your presence. You offer ministry, tend to the practical needs of our buildings, nurture children and young people, gather communities in worship, prepare meals, organise events and camps, write and share stories, and generously support one another in ways that often go unspoken. Each act, whether small or large, becomes part of something much greater than itself.
We recognise that this is not something you do for recognition. It is a calling lived out with humility and faithfulness. And it is in that spirit that we write to you. Not simply to offer thanks, but to acknowledge the very real difference your presence and participation make in the life of the church and in communities.
Because of you, people feel welcomed. Because of you, communities are formed and sustained. Because of you, the love of God is made visible in practical and meaningful ways.
Your willingness to follow your heart, to share your gifts, and to serve with generosity shapes who we are as a Mission Centre. It strengthens our shared life and extends our reach far beyond what any one of us could do alone.
As we mark National Volunteer Week, we hold you in gratitude and in prayer. We give thanks for your faithfulness, for the spirit in which you serve, and for the many ways your actions continue to ripple outward.
With deep appreciation,
Meredith Carr
