There's Still Time to Join Us for National Gathering 2026

It's exciting to think that National Gathering is now just over a month away. Before we know it, people from across Australia will be packing bags, catching flights, and making the journey to spend a weekend together in community. If you're still deciding whether to attend, registrations close on 9 August, so I thought this would be a good opportunity for a reminder of what the weekend will offer.

Like many of you, I sometimes find myself caught up in the busyness of everyday life. National Gathering offers something we don't often make enough time for—a chance to step away from the usual routines, spend time with one another, and reflect on where God may be leading us as individuals and as a church.

There will be worship, music, storytelling, discussion, learning, and plenty of opportunities for conversation. Some of the most meaningful moments at gatherings like these happen in the spaces between the scheduled sessions: over meals, on walks, during late-night chats, or while catching up with someone you haven't seen in years.

We'll also spend time exploring several important plans that will help shape the future of our mission together, including the Australia Strategic Plan, the Saints Care Strategic Plan, and the Field 4 Strategic Plan. These sessions will help us better understand the priorities and opportunities before us, while giving us space to think about how each of us can contribute to the mission we share.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that we'll be gathering in a beautiful setting. There is something refreshing about being surrounded by nature, taking a walk between sessions, finding a quiet place to sit and reflect, or simply enjoying the reminder that God's presence can be found in both conversation and creation.

If you have been considering attending, I encourage you to take a fresh look at what the weekend offers. My hope is that those who attend will leave feeling encouraged, renewed, and connected—both to one another and to the mission and purpose that bring us together. There is real value in setting aside a weekend to listen, learn, worship, and simply be in community. It would be wonderful to share the weekend with you.
