National Gathering Guest Ministry - Joelle Wight

As we look forward to the Australia National Gathering this August, we are pleased to introduce one of the World Church leaders who will be providing ministry during the event: Joelle Wight.

Joelle serves as Director of Temple Ministries and President of Seventy in Community of Christ. With a background in education, social work, and theology (B.A. in Elementary Education, M.S.W., and M.A. in Religion), Joelle brings a deep commitment to peacebuilding, reconciliation, and the transformative vision of God’s upside-down Kingdom. She facilitates the ministries of the Temple in Independence, Missouri, and provides leadership as co-president of Seventy for Quorums 4 and 5. Her previous ministry includes roles as a fourth-grade teacher, Latter-day Seeker minister, Invitation Support Minister, and Mission Center President. Joelle is passionate about creativity, conservation, and finding new ways to live justly in relationship with all of creation.

Joelle shares this message with the Australia Mission Centre:

"I won’t board my plane to Australia for another couple of months, and yet I have already felt so welcomed by folks in the Australia Mission Center. Your messages of greeting and hospitality have left me so excited to meet you in person and to learn and journey with you all. I can’t wait for our gathering in August and am eager to explore together what it looks like to share our story and live out our mission. See you soon!"
