Congregational Financial Officers from across Australia gathered online on Monday evening for the first quarterly CFO Network Meeting. Led by Australia Mission Centre Financial Officer Julie Crittenden, the meeting marked the beginning of a new quarterly forum she has established to strengthen communication, collaboration, and mutual support between Congregational Financial Officers and the Australia Mission Centre.
The meeting included a range of financial and operational updates to assist congregations as they plan for the year ahead. Topics included insurance, budgeting, annual general meeting planning, financial reporting, online banking, policies and procedures, and practical resources currently being developed to support Congregational Financial Officers. Participants also had the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss common challenges facing congregations.
A strong emphasis was placed on collaboration and ensuring Congregational Financial Officers feel supported in their important ministry. The quarterly meetings will continue to provide a forum for open communication, shared learning, and practical support, helping strengthen financial stewardship and collaboration across the church in Australia.
