This July, Wendy Ballard celebrates 25 years of working for Community of Christ in Australia—a milestone that marks a quarter century of dedicated service, compassionate leadership, and wholehearted participation in Christ's mission.
Throughout those years, Wendy has embraced the privilege of full-time ministry, investing not only in programs or events, but in people. Whether serving within the Community of Christ or alongside her local community, her ministry has consistently reflected Community of Christ's call to pursue peace, justice, and the worth of all persons. From worship services, camps, retreats, and reunions to weddings, funerals, baby blessings, and pastoral care, Wendy has walked alongside people through life's greatest joys and deepest sorrows, generously sharing Christ's love wherever she has been called.
Reflecting on this milestone, Wendy shared, "Looking back, what stays with me most is not the number of services I've led or the places I've been, but the people I have been privileged to know. Their stories have shaped me, challenged me, and blessed me far more than they will ever know."
As we celebrate Wendy's 25 years of ministry, we give thanks for the countless lives she has touched and the lasting impact of her care, compassion, and presence.
